THE SPOT / Logo Design & Branding
As the brand designer for Spot, I designed a cohesive identity that captures its essence as the go-to guide for uncovering the best dining experiences in the city. Spot’s audience—busy professionals with a passion for great coffee, food and wine—needed a brand that felt approachable, reliable, and effortlessly modern.
The logo design features a clean, bold sans-serif font with custom modifications, paired with a playful icon design to reinforce the brand’s informal yet trustworthy vibe. The colour palette—rooted in vibrant reds and yellows—triggers appetite while maintaining a fun and gender-neutral aesthetic.
To further enhance storytelling, I incorporated hand-drawn illustrations showcasing diverse dining moments, adding warmth and personality across touchpoints. Custom font selections and thoughtfully designed social media templates ensure the brand’s messaging stays consistent and engaging, while layouts are clean and intuitive for ease of use.
Spot’s branding not only aligns with its mission to connect foodies to the best their city has to offer but also establishes a visual identity that’s vibrant, memorable, and built to resonate with its audience.
